2002 SA CHEESE FESTIVAL MOVES TO PICTURESQUE NEW HOME The country's biggest cheese festival has a new owner and will in future be held on an even larger scale at a venue near Franschhoek. Agri-Expo announced that it has taken the annual National Cheese Festival under its wing and that it will be presented as the South African Cheese Festival from next year onwards. The premier gathering of cheese makers and cheese enthusiasts was presented by Derk Blaisse for the first time in1999 and again last year and met with such overwhelming response on both occasions that the facilities were stretched to the limit. This prompted the decision by Agri-Expo to move it to a new venue with ample parking, shade and exhibition space.
